Legit Work From Home Jobs In 2020

It’s been a crazy year so far to say the least. Right now because of the COVID 19 Outbreak, unemployment in America is at an all time high! According to the Web, millions of Americans have either lost there job or have been furloughed and there are 1,617,204 confirmed cases of Corona Virus worldwide!

I don’t say all of this to frighten you. But this pandemic has shaken the world and I don’t know if we will ever be the same. Including the workforce. So I want to share with you some legit work from home jobs in this post.

Today, in the year 2020, there are a ton of work-at-home jobs out there that actually are legit, thanks to improved technology and social media. Unfortunately there are several scams out there as well. So when you find something that interests you, it’s important to research it to make sure it’s not a scam.

Just do a Google search and enter the company name + reviews, or “Is ‘Company Name’ legit?” into the search bar. I do it all the time when I’m doing research for my blog, or before I make an online purchase.

Anyway, here are some legit work-from-home jobs for the year 2020 and beyond.

Online Affiliate Marketing

What if I told you that you could turn your hobby into a profitable online business? Let’s say you like to work out and take care of yourself. Which I know it’s torturous right now with all the gyms being closed. But if you enjoy living a healthy lifestyle, you probably are pretty knowledgeable about diet and exercise.

Well you can take that knowledge and start an online blog about weight loss or dieting tips. In internet marketing we call this a niche. Eventually you will have a website full of content for the world to see. The only thing is, the money doesn’t just start pouring in right away.

You have to keep creating content and gaining trust with Google and other search engines. The more trust your website gets, the more traffic you will receive to your blogs. And then you can add affiliate links to your blogs and earn a commission when someone makes a purchase through your affiliate link.

I learned all of this on Wealthy Affiliate. They have the best training available in this business. And the best thing is that it’s FREE to start up!

I did a Wealthy Affiliate revue on my website, and you can Check It Out Here.

Virtual Assistant

Do you have word processing, writing and communication skills? Are you handy with a computer?

Today there are so many entrepreneurs that simply don’t have the time to manage or create a social media presence for their business, or reply to emails, or write and send invoices to customers, etc. And that’s where a virtual assistant will come in and complete tasks like this.

I know there are a lot of successful online affiliate marketers out there who reach a point where they need to bring in some help to create content for their website. They’re swamped from trying to run an online business by themselves so they will hire a VA to help them get more done.

If this sounds like a good fit for you and you want some more info about virtual assistant jobs check out Upwork.com and Zirtual.com.

Web Developer

I’m telling you, in case you haven’t noticed, the online business world is booming like crazy. And without a doubt, every business needs a website today.

Building a website really isn’t that hard to do. Thanks to the training at Wealthy Affiliate, I had this website up and running in no time. There are some online courses that will teach you coding skills too. I think the average time to complete one of these courses is about 12 months.

You can also learn a lot about web design from watching educational videos on YouTube. Once you get the skills down pack, you can start building a portfolio where you can demonstrate your coding talent and technical capabilities. If your portfolio stands out to an employer, you might land a job interview.

And much like the other two work-at-home jobs in this list, as a web developer, you get to live the “Laptop-Lifestyle”! Meaning wherever you go, as long as you have your laptop and a decent internet connection, you can make a living.

Proofreader

Another legit work-from-home opportunity is proofreading. Businesses all over the globe need someone with a fairly good understanding of spelling and grammar rules, and an eye for detail to proofread documents, blog posts, etc.

If you have a love for reading this may be a fun way for you just to make some extra income on the side. Many website owners like to hire someone to proofread their content before they post it on their website.

If you think that this is something you would like to do just search online for proofreading jobs. Some websites that specialize in proofreading and editing services are proofread NOW and wordfirm.

Take Online Surveys

Yes, there are a bunch of scammy survey apps that are just a big waste of time. But if you do your research, you will find that there definitely are some legit ones too. And you’re not going to get rich off of these but if you do enough of them, you can make a little extra money.

Most of them use a point system where 100 points = $1. And most of the survey questions I find are boring. But that’s just me. Some people find them interesting and really enjoy them. So, if you want to give it a try, here are my top 5 that I will personally recommend.

Top 5 Paid Online Surveys:

  1. Survey Junkie
  2. Inbox Dollars
  3. Pinecone Research
  4. Swagbucks
  5. My Points
